Stephen Agyepong

Stephen is a junior Biology major and public health minor at Morehouse College. His future goals are to obtain his M.D./MPH, and specialize in cardiology and public health outreach. (he/him)

Prior to joining Perspectives On Social Justice, Karah was a master’s candidate in the Netherlands at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where she obtained her master’s in Social Policy for Development in December 2020. Her areas of passion include food sovereignty, gender equality, equitable housing, and care for the earth. She is passionate about making systemic change community-driven and loves bringing together diverse stakeholders. Karah currently lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan. When she is not soaking up time outside, you can find her trying out a new cake recipe, reading a book under a multitude of blankets, or playing board games with friends. (she/her)

Madison Ginter

Madison studies Psychology at the University at Buffalo in New York! She studies psychology so she can one day help those in need with mental health counseling. She joined Perspectives On Social Justice hoping to gain experience working as an advocate, and she is so thankful for all that she's learned!

Mafatou Jagne

Mafatou is a fourth-year Pre-Law/Criminal Justice major at Kennesaw State University. She is interested in issues of social justice, religion, food insecurity, as well as immigration policy in the United States. She has been involved with the KSU mock trial team and has volunteered with several nonprofits including the Atlanta Community Food Bank and the Red Door Food Pantry.

Mercy Ogutu

Mercy Ogutu, was born in Kisumu, Kenya, but raised in the vibrant city of Atlanta, Ga. With her pursuing degree in Political Science and International Affairs, with a minor in Cultural and Language Relations, Mercy plans to work hard to expand and promote progress on foreign policies relating to education, foreign aid investment, and expansion on sustainable change for both community and global development.

Mandana Malyanni

Mandana is a Master of  Public Health student at Mercer University. She has over ten years of experience as a physician in her hometown Iran.  She is now working with Perspectives On Social Justice as a medical correspondent. Her interests are in reading novels, history, and psychology.

Joel Paulson

Joel is currently a student at Swarthmore College, graduating in 2022, where he is double majoring in Educational Studies and Political Science, Pre-Law. He plans on going to law school upon graduation. When he’s not studying, he’s going to practice with the Men’s Lacrosse team, and when he’s not doing that, he loves spending time with friends and making music in his piano or guitar!

Ramani Seethamraju is from the Bay Area in California. She recently graduated with a degree in Justice Studies and hopes to use this knowledge to help those in her community! In her free time, her two favorite things to do are cook a delicious meal or sing with her a Capella group.

Julie Lee

Julie is currently a sophomore in the Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, majoring in International Relations and minoring in Japanese. She is originally from Duluth, Georgia, but is now attending school in Boston and hopes to attend law school in the future. She has always been passionate about issues in social justice, frequently spending her time in Atlanta volunteering to help relieve food insecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic. She hopes to gain an enriching experience and greater knowledge of social justice issues.
